Carbamazepine Side Effects Warning
Dangerous or even fatal skin reactions (Stevens Johnson syndrome and toxic epidermal necrolysis), that can be caused by carbamazepine therapy, are significantly more common in patients with a particular human leukocyte antigen (HLA) allele, HLA-B*1502. This allele occurs almost exclusively in patients with ancestry across broad areas of Asia, including South Asian Indians. Genetic tests for HLA-B*1502 are already available.

Gadolinium MRI/MRA Side Effects UPDATE
Recently, Nephrogenic Systemic Fibrosis (NSF), also known as Nephrogenic Fibrosing Dermotherapy (NFD), has come to the forefront medicine. It is a severe Gadolinium side effect that preys on those who suffer from advanced kidney disease, or failure. A fairly new condition, diagnosed for the first time in 2000, most cases are found to be fatal. Less than 300 cases of Nephrogenic Systemic Fibrosis (NSF) or Nephrogenic Fibrosing Dermotherapy (NFD) have been confirmed. Treatment is being researched for this painful condition.

Ortho Evra Side Effects
